Irish
Charm
Pinkerton
Agent Jamie Donovan is packed with Irish Charm, from his disarming
lilt to his devastating smile, and he knows it. He uses his gifts
to bring evil to justice and women to his bed. Most women that is,
except icy Kathryn Mitchell, Katie as he prefers to call her, much
to her dislike. She seems immune to his charms, yet he finds himself
drawn to her, feeling the need to protect the head-strong agent
from herself.
Kathryn Mitchell is determined
to prove herself a capable investigator. With her three month trial
employment nearly over, all seems to be going well, until rival
agent Jamie Donovan shows up trailing the same thief she's been
assigned to capture. When the thief they are pursuing turns up dead,
Kathryn and Jamie travel from New York City to Boston, battling
turf, armed felons, and their feelings for each other as they attempt
to track down a murderer.

Born,
raised and still living in Richmond, Virginia, Donna discovered
a love of reading at an early age. Combing through her Grandma
Stone's massive bookcase, she eagerly devoured such works as THE
HARDY BOYS and NANCY DREW. Once she reached an age deemed appropriate,
she was allowed to read the hallowed romance collection.
Donna soon turned her
hand to writing. In high school, many of her works were published
in the school's literary magazine. Prose, poetry, no genre was
off limits to her fertile imagination. In testament to her wide-ranging
abilities, she graduated third in her class of 450.She met her
husband, a county police officer, while volunteering at Lakeside
Rescue Squad.
Not long after, she
joined the ranks as a Police and Fire Dispatcher.
Discovering that shift work and young children don't mix well,
Donna changed to a less stressful accounting job. Historical romances
became her favorite escape from the demanding roles of wife and
mother.
After seeing her sons
graduate, she focused on her writing career and joined the Virginia
Romance Writers, serving as secretary and the HOLT Medallion contest
coordinator. She has attended numerous workshops, including Deb
Dixon's "Goals, Motivation, and Conflict," Margie Lawson's "Empowering
Character Emotion," and Donald Maass' "Writing the Breakout Novel."
She hopes her readers
will enjoy her curl-in-the-chair, let-the-house-fall-in-around-you
romance novels and will come back for more.
